But that's no good because nobody's heard of that, and you'd have to explain it every time you used it.

Scenario 4:
"I lost my PI number!"
"Your pie number? So now you can't get pie?"
"No, he means 3.1415926."
"No no no..."

You just pronounce "PI" to rhyme with, um... I can't think of any rhyming words. OK, so pronounce "PI" with the same vowel as "fish" or "dish," so when you say "PI number" it'll sound enough like "PIN number" to appease people who need the clarification, and if a nearby peevologist jumps on you for it, you're in the clear, because you didn't include that extra "N," and you're legally allowed to slap him or her in retaliation for the unjust accusation.
