Wow. Definitely the most realistic animation I've ever seen in a Garry's Mod cartoon. I have no idea how they pulled that off.

Looks to me like traditional stop-motion, applied to the Engineer as if he were a physical poseable puppet. IOW, the guy spent some time on it and did actual animation work by hand.

they played this vid on the Funday Pawpet show a couple weeks ago and it went over really well. i'm familiar with the song, but not the video game. i'm more of a retro gamer. i mainly play emulations of older arcade games.
