So. MFF was fun, but ended too soon! I enjoyed Kage's Story Hour and 2's show (though I ended up missing the stuff where they got together onstage afterwards. I hear Kage took a pie to the face in honor of Soupy Sales?) Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind was lots of fun too, even if they did insult a fursuiter (granted, it was part of the interactive play "Insult. Dance. Repeat.") :} The FVS was fun too. I was sitting up front, so I didn't get to see how many people were doing the armwave along with Cheeto in "Hangin' Tough". And then on Sunday morning I performed in the Holiday Pawpet Show. "Podsafe Christmas Song" by Jonathan Coulton was my idea. :}
Aw man, I never got to the art show or Artist Alley! But I did spend a lot of time in the con suite, because it was the most awesome con suite EVER. We got to use the former Osteria di Tramonto space and all their tables! Plus it was very well-staffed and run, and there was always something to eat (even if I overdid it on the chili and wished I had some Tums later on... urp.)
During Closing Ceremonies, they announced that MFF has grown so fast that it's already outgrown the Westin! Next year the con has a new home at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare. (Rooms for 2010 are available *now*! Go grab one while you can!) They showed a video announcing this, and started off by revisiting the Hyatt Woodfield, and making fun of its new decor. Having previously been there and seen the new look in person, I laughed so hard at that!
Weather on the drive back has been pretty good on average. Cloudy but no rain yesterday, and today I got heavily rained on, but not for long.
Next stop: Denton, TX.
