Seen on the road today... - The online computery journal thingy of a turtle

03:03 pm - Seen on the road today...
While I was out running errands, I saw a white pickup truck that had one of those see-thru decals that covers the entire rear window, depicting the U.S. flag waving majestically... and down on the bumper, a sticker depicting the Texas flag overlaid with the word SECEDE.
As far as I could tell, the driver was unaware of the clanging irony.
BTW, I apologize for forgetting to take a photo for you while I was at Burning Man. We were a few tents away from 'Turtle Camp' which had a plethora of turtles including some of those plastic kiddie sand-box turtles (these guys: http://img.geocaching.com/track/log/2e7d9c19-843f-4b01-94e5-d9ac086fe15c.jpg ) which had been converted to racing turtles! The had wheels on them and a western-style riding saddle but the rider was sitting about 6 inches off the ground.
Their dome tent was also a giant turtle.
Well, hopefully pictures taken by other people will appear online soon.
Grooooan!
*pads away in similarly stocking feet*
But yeah, talk of secession always comes off as a lot of bluster and hot air. (We're on the Gulf of Mexico! We don't *need* more hot air!)
I dunno about power stations.
Irony?
