Today was mostly uneventful. I left Sonora on I-10 E and stayed on it (except for when I got on Loop 1604 around San Antonio to bypass downtown) until I got to Houston. Also, I started havin' a little trouble focusing on the road; at first I thought I was sleep-deprived, but the problem went away when I reached the Houston area, suggesting that my eyes were actually being bored to death by the monotonous central Texas scenery. Anyway, I eventually got home, and we ordered Chinese. My fortune cookie sez: "Hilltop and seaside resorts are where you'll live for life." Weird. Well, better than the desert, I suppose.

Yesterday: As I was driving out of El Paso, I glanced to the south and noticed horribly thick smog over Juarez, Mexico. That might be what made my throat sore.

Had they passed away before you realized what was going on, would you have held a funeral service for your eyeballs?

Don't feel too sad, Ursula Vernon has a solution: http://ursulav.livejournal.com/852040.html
