If you've ever seriously considered that Sarah Palin might have any kind of point when she calls Barack Obama anti-American, or when she describes the small towns she's been campaigning in as the "pro-America" parts of the country, well, here's a little cartoon making fun of that nonsense.

I created, what I think says more or less everything there is to say about Palin and her followers:

Obama is anti-American. Palin is a flipping moron. Difference: I like Obama, just don't want him leading the country. I hate Palin, I don't want her anywhere near leading the country. I'm in a loose loose situation.

Explain how some one who is a member of an American governmental body (especially the Congress) is "anti-American". I'm trying to figure out where people make this accusation are thinking.

(i.e. Hugo Chavez is obviously anti-American, because he opposes American influence in his country; is there any elected official (even Dennis Kucinich) that wants to destroy the US?)

Again, more proof that you are not Canadian. One of the parties in Canada that consistently wins at least 40 or so seats in Parliament is the Bloc Quebecois. They only campaign in and run candidates in the province of Quebec (holder of 75 of the 308 seats in Parliament), and they are (or at least were founded as but this is their raison d'etre, pardon the pun) a separatist party whose stated goal is for an independent Quebec. Yet, as of the last election, they hold 51 seats. Hell, after the 1993 election, they were Her Majesty's Loyal Opposition (note the extreme irony in this statement) by virtue of winning the second most amount of seats in Parliament.

So someone can be a member of government and be anti-country. Any nation with a separatist in government (Spain's Basques, UK's SNP (Scottish National Party), I believe Iraq's KRP (Kurdistan Worker's Party) is separatist). But, as we all know, neither Obama, McCain, Kucinich, or even Palin despite accusations to the contrary, are members of a separatist party.)

How exactly is Obama "anti-American" (or are you just being sarcastic)?

I'm sure things will be much better when Obama wins and the mainstream media stops criticizing the government.

I'm sure things will be much better when all the Republicans who were fuming "He's our commander-in-chief! You have to follow him! Love it or leave it!" when leftists criticized Bush, will turn around and show Obama the same courtesy.

Thanks! It's from the scene where McQueen's being hauled into court, and everybody's yelling at him for trashing the town.
