Whew! Made it here. Man, north Texas scenery is boring. Nothing but farmlands. This is why I have music in the car. After I got here and checked in, I went to a Chinese buffet place called China Star (a place I stopped at on my way up but haven't mentioned here because I didn't have wi-fi at the time). The usual Chinese things like fried rice, beef & broccoli, etc, are good, but they also have roast beef, and it is delicious! I don't know how they cook it but it almost tastes like Cincinnati chili.

So, north Texas is the American equivalent of Saskatchewan?

Yes, but full of drawlin' rednecks. Or, here in Wichita Falls, redneck + ghetto.

See, just like Saskatchewan! Or is it more like western Kansas?

Maybe like Oklahoma, which seems to be "North North Texas."

My father was in OK on a vacation long ago. The locals busted into his Jeep, which had expensive camera equipment, golf clubs and other goodies. Guess what they took?

His Stetson hat. That's it. JUST the hat! Everything else stayed.

Beef with broccoli was one of my favorite dishes from any culture, before I stopped eating beef and somehow became less fond of broccoli.
