The Judy's on CD!

I'm getting ready to fly to Pittsburgh on Thursday. Hmm, must update files on my laptop. Bookmarks, and mp3s I've made since last time. Did I mention I have The Judy's albums now? The Judy's (yes, the apostrophe is intentional) were a band local to Pearland TX (a few dozen miles south of here) back in the early '80s, and I had their two albums "Washarama" and "The Moo Album" on cassette. Imagine Buddy Holly with more TMBGish nerd appeal.

Their albums were finally released on CD just last December, and, um, I finally found out about it earlier this month and ordered those two and an album they put out in the early '90s, "Land of Plenty". As often seems to happen with records I loved as a kid, I wondered whether I would still like them, and it turns out I love them more than ever now! (Although "Land of Plenty" is new to me; it sounds nice, but I'll need to hear it a few more times to really get into it.)

I think some of their songs would be fun to do at puppet shows, or make animated videos of.
