I've got a recording that purports to be Alvin and the Chipmunks doing the Time Warp...

Plausible! But would they do, say, the Rose Tint My World medley? They totally should!

Heavy torsos that heave and hurl
Who crunch like nuts in the mouths of squirrels!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who dwells on these things. When I was young, I'd even play around with an open-reel deck I had, trying to sound like Alvin doing a punk medley. ^.^

That'd be especially great if it's got banter with Dave in it. Imagine it starting with Alvin saying, "We've got a song that we want to do, Dave," and Dave agrees, until they get to the chorus. "Alvin, you can't say that word! Stop singing that, Alvin! AAAALVIIIIIIN!!!"

Dang, I don't know any of those songs.

Frankly, I'd count any song with prominent swearing among their least likely numbers. Maybe something made to appeal to teen angst.

I have a friend who has a vocal credit on "Alvin & The Chipmunks: The Dance Mixes". He claimed he couldn't recall which songs he sang on though. (He probably has to get pretty drunk to do it, I'd wager...)

As soon as I saw the title, I thought of #9.

Actually, "Revolution #9" should be on the list, too.

Yes!

Industrial output. Financial imbalance. The Watusi! The Twist!
El Dorado.
Take this, brother, may it serve you well.

...the night watchman... unaware of his presence in the building...

RIGHT! RIGHT! RIGHT! RIIIIIIIIIIIIiii...iiiiIIIIIIIIGHT! RIIIIiiiiii...

If... you become naked...

Block that kick! Block that kick!

Clearly, anything with lyrics about people being naked is a winner here. :}

I submit that a Chipmunk rendition of Blue Oyster Cult's most famous number would be hysterical. For a few seconds, anyway.

Least likely? I'll say "Christmas Card from a Hooker in Minneapolis," by Tom Waits. But it would not be awesome; it would be deeply, deeply disturbing.

But would you have the Chipmunks sing it or The Chipettes?

"Charlie I'm pregnant/and living on Ninth Street/above a dirty bookstore/off Euclid Avenue..."

The Crucifucks, "Hinckley Had a Vision," except that it kind of already sounds like a chipmunk is singing, albeit a chipmunk who has suffered some kind of grave internal injuries that you know will give you nightmares for weeks if you look, and you're afraid you're going to look anyway so the whole thing is really very stressful.

Pasties and a G-string!

Smellin' like a brewery, lookin' like a tramp,
Ain't got a quarter, got a postage stamp...

Actually, I'd love to hear a Chipmunk version of "In The Neighborhood" or "Innocent When You Dream".
