The Comics Curmudgeon Get-Together diary has started going up! Will I finish it before Morphicon in May? Uh... let's hope so!

Curmudgeonians. Curmudgeoners. Curmudgeonoids. Curmudgeonese. Curmudgeonettes. Bah, one of those.

Incidentally, "Curmudgeon" is a clue in my paper's crossword today.

Eeep, from what you have on there, it sounds like a pretty harfy trip. Ah well, from what I heard, the actual meet-up more than made up for it. (He gotta have one near me! I know Josh since before he was a Curmudgeon, and I'd love to see him again!)

That's quite a dip in speed too! I've never seen a day/night speed limit in Canada, but when we took our trip out west last summer, part of it was in the States, and I remember it was, I think 85 day/75 night in Montana, not that big of a difference. (And, since we were driving before, during, and after twilight, I couldn't help but wonder when "night" kicked in.)

The daytime speed limit in Texas is 70 in most rural areas, 80 in most of West Texas, and anywhere from 55 to 65 in more built-up areas. Everywhere the limit is 70 or more, there's a nighttime limit of 65. I don't know why.

You know Josh? Cool!

Since we used to hang out in #languages, I thought I'd ask your perspective on this: http://sonjaaa.livejournal.com/548342.html

Is this kind of banning normal, or did I do something inappropriate?

I dunno, I haven't been there in years.

If I were to hazard a guess (as though anything that came after that phrase somehow didn't count as actually hazarding a guess :} ), I'd say maybe they have a low tolerance for new people pasting URLs to the channel. That's just a blind guess, though.

Thanks for your help. Are there channels that are better suited for sharing pictures and art?

I don't know that either, not having been anywhere on that IRC network in years. May I suggest FurAffinity (http://www.furaffinity.net)?
