Of course, now that you say which movie they are from, I can recognize the ones I'm familiar with...

Same here. Dammit. All of them I was "huh?" And then "Well, KT has seen several obscure movies, and I have barely seen any." Truth is, I've seen at least 6 on the list (Incredibles, Finding Nemo, Lilo & Stitch, Back to the Future, Cars, and Who Framed Roger Rabbit). Sadly some of the quotes from those movies sitll leave me scratching my head. On the other hand, some of the quotes from the movies I *haven't* seen makes me want to see them!

Context!

I can give context for each of them:

1. Harold talking to his therapist, before he meets Maude and is still obsessed with death.

2. Roger ruins the cartoon take by seeing tweeting birds instead of stars. Leadup dialog: "Just drop the refrigerator on my head one more time!" "Roger, I dropped the refrigerator on your head 15 times already." "I can take it, don't worry about me!"

3. Joel asking Dr. Mierzwiak about the memory erasure procedure.

4. Lani the lifeguard penguin, running to help someone, forgets her squid float and says "Oh, crap!" while facing Cody. Cody confesses to Chicken Joe that he has a crush on Lani. Joe urges Cody to talk to her.

5. Marty wakes up in Lorraine (his future mother)'s bed, half-undressed, and discovers she's developed a crush on him.

6. Mater to McQueen, while fleeing from a tractor stampede through town.

7. Max is drafted. One of his friends suggests he swallow some cotton balls so it will look like a tumor on an X-ray and he'll be declared 4-F. He gets shipped off to Vietnam anyway.

8. Davy Jones, trading insults with a sarcastic waitress in a diner.

9. Mr. Huph, the boss at Insuricare, reprimanding Bob Parr (a.k.a. Mr. Incredible) for making it too easy for clients to get payments.

10. Chef Skinner, getting Linguini drunk on wine, trying to figure out the secret of his success and what the rat has to do with it, and getting desperate. "Did you have a pet rat as a child? Did you work with rats? Perhaps you lived in squalor at some point?"

11. Governor "Pappy" O'Daniel, running for re-election, discussing with his staff how to beat popular newcomer Homer Stokes, whose campaign appearances involve a midget representing "the little guy". Junior O'Daniel suggests Pappy could get his own midget.

12. Emma, showing her (babysitter? tutor? I'm gonna have to see this again) a trick involving futuristic stones that create a vapor bubble that seems to dissolve her hand into floating particles when she sticks it in.

13. Pleakley and Jumba, resorting to extreme measures to track down Stitch.

14. Marlin and Dory have to swim through a large group of jellyfish. To keep Dory focused, Marlin turns it into a game, one rule of which is "You can only touch the tops of the jellyfish, not the tentacles."

15. A band of Mangalore warriors delivering a case of mystical stones to Zorg. The case turns out to be empty; Zorg flies into a rage.

Dang, I've seen ten of them and got only two right. In my partial defense, I was about nine the one time I saw Back to the Future in full. WFRR (which officially doesn't have a question mark, you may recall) was guessed before I saw the quiz, but I'm a bit surprised that it apparently took a while to be guessed.

I never even heard of Head.

Oh, I'm afraid I just submitted an anonymous comment by accident. The one that included mention of being about nine when I saw BTTF.

If you had simply reposted your comment after logging in, I could have just deleted the screened anonymous comment and no one else would be the wiser. :}

Oh, and Head is a bizarre film featuring the Monkees. Imagine about a dozen typical episodes of the "Monkees" TV show. Now take some LSD and imagine mashing them together.
