Rex Morgan has actually taken on a little more grit lately; it's almost readable. But I was staring at the last panel when I first saw it. Some dialogue moments intended to be ironic and menacing simply don't jell, and, uh... that was one of them.

I BROUGHT MISTER FUZZUMS AND A WHITE NOISE MACHINE. THOUGH YOU PROBABLY WON'T HEAR IT OVER THE RAIN.

The committee in charge of making sure that newspaper comics are boring insists that you cease and desist this practice immediately.

Tell them to check out "Lio." That'll distract them for a bit.

Or he could offer them cigars, or introduce them to his pets or robots, or... the possibilities are endless.

What the hell? Is he supposed to be having a Rick-Moranis-in-Scrooged moment?

i've actually been reading Rex Morgan for the past 3 story arcs. in my local paper they print it way in the back section (away from all the OTHER comics) next to the NY Times Crossword puzzle.

OT: Today's Frank and Ernest reminded me of your "erotic fish" cartoon.
