But curiously, it may not be the jolliest music video about nuclear contamination. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U_zJXhMz-kY

But see, that one's about nuclear war, with missiles & stuff. This one's about nuclear contamination, with power plants & stuff. Completely different!

But yes, both videos are certainly jolly.

So much visual propoganda in that... Totally misrepresents actual nuclear waste issues and the effects if mishandled or if there is a radiation leak from a plant...

It shows green smoke from the plant implying that the constant white smoke you see is radioactive. That's actually steam from a plant and not radioactive. At least, no more than natural water. It's from the constant water use to run the turbines and keep the radioactive rods from going super-critical. That alone made me decide this video was nothing but misrepresentative propoganda.

You have a point there. Remember, kids, do your own research. Don't base your worldviews on stuff you see in cartoons.

On the other leaf, it's a silly cartoon that shows glow-in-the-dark pigs, a two-headed cow, and sentient corn that drives a tractor. I don't think it's meant to make any sort of serious statement. :}

This is a lot like the comment I wrote out this morning (but decided against posting), but a lot less sarcastic. :]

downright silly.. and somewhat wrong.. due to the design of the American Nuclear plants, Chernobyl will never happen here. Our plants will shut down if there is not enough cooling.

One could take that a few ways. If you think about it, Chernobyl also shut down as well, though probably not in the way you were meaning.

I'd take American-built things over mid-80s Soviet era built things any day (if those are my only two choices).
