On Thursday, Sept. 6, I was spending some time at the local mall, Santa Fe Center, sitting in the food court. There's a carousel in the middle of the food court, and there was a small child riding on a horse, with his mommy standing next to him, while grandma stood outside the gate and tried to take a picture of them with Mommy's cell phone camera.
Notice I said "tried". She was having trouble getting the thing to work. After Mommy and the kid went around a couple of times, smiling big for the camera every time they saw Grandma, Grandma said, "Why isn't it working? It keeps going black!" The next time Mommy and the kid came around, she started trying to troubleshoot. "You're not doing it right!"
Mommy went around again, and called out, "Press the D button!"
Mommy went around again, and called out, "It's on the left!"
Mommy went around again, and I don't remember whether Grandma got the thing to work, because I was too busy laughing to myself and thinking, "That's gotta go in the diary!"
