[This post was made with this thingy.]

Teaser for Pixar's next feature, Wall-E. Starts with one of the reasons I stopped watching). The part where Homer watches the videotape Marge left made me tear up. But damn, wouldn't Homer have had to be going impossibly fast on that motorcycle to achieve what he did in the climactic scene?

Trailers:
"Alvin & the Chipmunks". When the one gag featured in the trailer involves eating poop, you know the movie's going to stink. It saddens me that everybody else in the audience laughed at it. Granted, it was a pretty small audience today, but STILL.
"Daddy Day Camp". Gettin' tired of this trailer.
"Horton Hears a Who". Why did they get Jim Carrey to voice Horton? Why must Horton be "hip" and "wacky"?
"Fred Claus". Santa (Paul Giamatti)'s troublemaking big brother (Vince Vaughn) visits the North Pole. Could be good, could be bad. Hard to say.

Then I went to see "Ratatouille". She loved it!

Unfortunately we picked a bad day & time to go. The theatre was filled with two schoolbusloads and one vanload of little children, who kept failing to be quiet, and because of where we were saying stuff like "You can go from ceiling... to floor" or "You can go from ceiling... to floor" or "You can go from three... to four". I can't for the life of me remember what started that. Drawn for Northpaw at Morphicon 2006.

KT misunderstands Sefo's use of the phrase "say it, don't spray it".

planeride-sketches.gif
A page of drawings I did on the plane home from Anthrocon 2007. My sketchbook got snagged on netting in the seat pocket, and I had to struggle mightily and partially disassemble the sketchbook to get it out without breaking the plastic spiral spine. I was so mad I drew an angry KT, and then a tired Teleia, and then I get stuck. And "before" gives me similar problems.

So I decided to add a new rule: if I need to finish so I can show you...)

I made this in Photoshop, and I've got a file that's set up so I can show you...)

I made this in Photoshop, and I've got a file that's set up so I can easily color any state, province, or estado. Anybody want me to whip one up for you?

[EDIT: Form, with updated categories, has moved to new post. To get a map of your own, fill out the form behind the LJ-cut, and post it in a comment here. (Obviously you can save space by just cutting the ones you've never been to out of the list.) The list is a hierarchy; if more than one category applies to a state, but if you know for a fact you have but simply have no recollection of being there. My parents took me to Hawaii as a baby, so Hawaii is a 1 for me.

0. (LIGHT ECRU) Never been to. Self-explanatory.

To have a map of your own, go there. (And yes, the offer is open indefinitely.) :} ]

I saw Octan's use of the feature before yours. I figured you'd take interest. Here's part of what I got:

"I won’t say exactly what I understand to have happened, but it blew away my hope of a useful fable. For that matter, it blew away my hope of a useful fable. For that matter, it blew away my hope of a useful fable. For that matter, it blew away my hope of a useful fable. For that matter, it blew away my hope of a useful fable. For that matter, it blew away hope in general, from the standpoint of everyone about whom I ever cared, including the Overlords."
