10:28 pm - Mashup at the Movies by Me

When I went to see "Ratatouille", the trailers were a bit late getting started. As I sat there listening to the latest pop crud on MovieTunes, I noticed one song had the same chord structure as "Sunday Girl" by Blondie. I don't remember what song it was, but the chords were the same, the tempo was the same, and possibly even the key was the same! So I sang a bit of "Sunday Girl" over it, making my own impromptu mashup.

Gawd, I hate MovieTunes. Everything they play is a "smash hit" or a "triple platinum" whatever.
And it's all crap. And a lot of it seems to feature high-pitched singing that makes dogs howl.
And I'm a Kate Bush fan, so I know high-pitched singing!

MovieTunes provides a needed service: it informs me on what to avoid.

I went to see "Rise Of The Silver Surfer" and "Surf's Up" yesterday.
I'll post about them in my LJ later.
I liked both movies, though "Rise" could have been better.
"Surf's Up", on the other hand, was awesome, dude.
Totally tubular.
