03:39 pm - I have no bed!

Previous Entry Share Next Entry

My mom's been telling me I need to get a new mattress, as the one I've been sleeping on is around 30 years old. So yesterday we went to a mattress store. My existing mattress is a double, but hardly anybody sells double-size mattresses anymore. They're all queen-size and king-size. So, after trying out a few mattresses, including a Tempur-Pedic and a Sleep Number, I decided I wanted a Tempur-Pedic. So we bought a whole Tempur-Pedic bed, and I went home to clear a path to my bed.

Today I finished clearing a path, and dismantled and removed the old bed, and vacuumed. Currently, I have no bed! The workers should be here sometime between 4 and 7 today to deliver and assemble my new bed.

Then tomorrow I wanna go see "Surf's Up".

You're a turtle! You don't need a bed!

We bought a new mattress lately (being a relative newlywed will require that ;) ) I dunno the brand name, but it's better than the old one, the Purchased-Third-Hand-With-Stains-On-It-When-I-Got-It-And-A-Spring-Eventually-Poking-Up-On-MY-Side-Of-The-Bed. Don't buy that one.

What is a Tempur-Pedic anyways? What makes it special, it made of tempura or something?

And I didn't know Weird Al wrote a song about me!

Need schmeed. I like my luxury.

Glad I didn't buy that one.

A Tempur-Pedic mattress is made of memory foam, which molds itself to the shape of your body for comfort & support. It's not made of tempura, but dipping it in tempura will make it taste better.

"Canadian Idiot", of course, is a parody of Green Day's "American Idiot".

hardly anybody sells double-size mattresses anymore.

So it's not just my area. Sheesh. Why has the demand plummeted?

Man. Nine months after I quit "The FOOBiverse!", I read the title of your entry and think of Anthony saying, "I have no home!" Maybe I need a 12-step program.

I heard they dropped the "Must have a bed" requirement to see Surf's Up after the initial test screenings.

I wouldn't recommend a Sleep Number bed. They are just an inflatable mattress with the normal-looking cloth/padding around it.

My sister gave Loriana and I one for Christmas a couple years back. Yeah, its fairly comfortable, Much better than what we had, but I think a Tempur-Pedic would be MUCH MUCH better ^_^

Ours came without a pad that goes between the inflatable mattress and the top covering. I went to Wal-Mart The Evil Empire and bought a foam pad to go in there. That did make a difference.

Also, it does not hold its pressure. After about a month or so, you need to check your number on the remote and inflate it back up to what you want.
