Too bad most of theUS doesn't appreciate the wacky world of Imperial Systems of Measurement! Links, chains, rods, furlongs, and lovable pennyweights and hogsheads!

But, I wasn't the least bit surprised, you are definitely very quick witted, and intelligent to boot. Have you ever considered joining Mensa? (I've considered several times, but I can barely afford the fee to just take the test; plus my complete inability to get the puzzle (math was never my strong suit) and your ease in doing so really put me in my place.) Have you ever had your IQ measured? Have you ever eaten ice cream in the rain?

I'm pretty sure KT would be make it in the Mensa group for turtles, he's in the top 1% IQ-wise. Most turtles aren't very bright, they just amble around and chew on leaves.

But KT can't fight bad guys, so he isn't at the top of the turtle heap. Nor, for that matter does he support the world, but I guess you don't need brains for that, just a strong back.

I hadn't even heard of rods or chains, and I didn't know how long a furlong was. Why the heck do they call it that, anyway? Even Cher's hair isn't that long, so what creature's fur...?

Wikipedia is your friend!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rod_(unit)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chain_(unit)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Furlong

Basically:
A rod is an old surveyor's unit (16.5 feet), based on measuring rods that were once in common use.
A chain is another old surveyor's unit (66 feet), based on a standardized surveyor's measuring chain.
A furlong (from the Old English for "furrow-long") was originally the distance a team of oxen could plow a furrow without resting.

I was kinda joking about the last part. I'd like to see a furlong-long fur.
