Heh! The only reason this comedy routine about Pachelbel's Canon didn't make me laugh out loud is because I currently have a sore throat and can't.

Current Mood: amusedamused
Current Music: Pachelbel's Canon in D major

I've always loved it.

Of course, I've also always loved tacos, bells, and cannons from Elmyra too, so ...

As much as I like hearing it, I loathe it for the EXACT same reason..... .except I played bassoon.

We had a art and music appreciation class last year; the professor played part of Eminem's "Toy Soldiers" to show that the background melody in that was based on Pachelbel too. I don't think it was nearly as close as some of the songs this guy did. I should email her a link to that and see what she thinks.

No he didn't, he gets it in right at the end, but with the lyrics changed a bit.

I'm free to still like it, cus the bands I listen to (Dr. Steel, Nirvana, Sonic Youth, Kaizers Orchestra) have little to no formal training and thus never listened to Pachelbel.

I've loved this song ever since I heard it on Dr. Demento. I picked up the CD it's on (American Cheese) when he performed at my college freshman year, and I haven't regretted it since.

Also in the vein of "all songs have the same damn chords:" Whatchu Know About Chord Progressions? (caution: YTMND and hip-hop)
