04:31 pm - The cruise so far
Sunday: Got on the ship. Seawolf and I decided to upgrade so we'd be near everybody, so we moved from deck 2 up to deck 3. Then we found out half the group is up on decks 7 and 8. Oh well, we're near Zot and Margo, at least. Unfortunately, it took until 9:30 p.m. to get our luggage, because it had been placed in our old room and sat there untouched for several hours. Sheesh.
Monday: Key West. I wanted to get my mom some more key lime fudge, so I found Kermit's Key West Key Lime Shoppe. Then I went on the "Taste of Key West" tour, and sampled conch fritters (eh, kinda weird and not great), dolphin fingers (really mahi mahi fishsticks; yummy!); various hot sauces (the guy behind the counter picked on someone named Gary and served him hotter and hotter stuff), coconut shrimp (yum!), and key lime pie at, guess where, Kermit's!
In the evening, it was Formal Night. I wore the most formal thing I had: a black T-shirt.
Tuesday: Cozumel. Intermittent rain. Fortunately I went snorkeling, so I was dressed to get wet. I saw tropical fish! Then we relaxed on the beach, with burgers, beer and volleyball. I tried swimming in the rough water, and then had a burger.
Bad news: Seawolf got sick Monday night, with nausea and diarrhoea. He went and saw the doctor while I was snorkeling; right now he's resting in bed in our stateroom. Wish him well.
See everyone online next week!
