yaay, three arms

Well, I slept through the Pacific and Asia, and I was busy during the Middle East, but it is now 5:00 here, and midnight in the UTC+1 time zone.

Happy New Year, Svalbard, Norway, Sweden, most of Europe, and the center of Africa from Algeria down to Angola!

EDIT: Not Namibia. They're currently observing DST, and their New Year started an hour ago. Oh well, missed 'em.

Happy New Year, Iceland, the British Isles, Portugal, the Madeira and Canary Islands, Western Africa from Morocco to Togo, and the islands of Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha!
yaay, three arms

Happy New Year, Ittoqqortoormiit (that's a little place on the eastern coast of Greenland), Azores and Cape Verde!

A few places in the world have their clocks set off from their neighbors by half an hour. Some such places that I missed earlier are Afghanistan, India, Burma, and two Australian states: Northern Territory and South Australia. But now here's another one...

Happy New Year, Newfoundland plus a bit of Labrador!

Finally, 2011 comes to a few whole Canadian provinces instead of just half of one.

Happy New Year, Qaanaaq (a bit on the western shore of Greenland), the rest of Labrador, the easternmost tip of Quebec, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, Bermuda, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, the eastern Caribbean Islands, Guyana, western Brazil, Bolivia, Paraguay, and Chile!
