New icon: yeah!

Yeah! I'm all gonna be in my experimental icon and even though I can't explain it I already know how great it's!

George TakEI

I see George Takei, Star Trek's Mr. Sulu, has officially come out of the closet. I also hear that some people have known about it for years.

But that's not what I want to talk about. Instead, I want to take this opportunity to remind people how to spell his last name:

TAKEI. (Rhymes with "gay". How's that for a mnemonic?)

Not "Takai", and not rhyming with "eye". I think some people might have gotten confused because "ei" is pronounced like "eye" in German, and hence also in some English words. But in Japanese words written in Romaji, "ei" sounds like "ay" as in "gay" or "day" or "Edna St. Vincent Millay". Think of the word "sensei".

Mad Ape Den: An odd way to gab or pen

I saw a rad new (new to me) web set for odd .txt. Its tag is "Mad Ape Den" (tap on it for the URL). To gab or pen on Mad Ape Den, one has to use wds. of but 1, 2 or 3 (no mo'!) of ABC or 123. It's fun! One reg. gab set is "Who Did the Ode?" An ode, air or rap you may ken by LP or CD is put up in the Mad Ape Den way. Can you say its tag and who did it?

(Too bad one ass has put up a lot of sex ads on the "gab on it" tab set.)
