Having had fresh octopus, the trick is not to chew for too long; it does become rubbery.

Page 4-7, first panel. Should that be "like Gulliver" or "Gulliver style"?

Neither, brother, that's "gulliver" as in "head", as govoreeted in Nadsat, the slang used by Alex and his droogs in "A Clockwork Orange". It's a sinny that Uncle Kage referenced in his eye surgery story, and I viddied it to make sure I was prodding it horrorshow in the diary.

I know that much of the ACO slang comes from Russian; any idea why he chose "gulliver"? From the context, I might have guessed it had more to do with being strapped down.

Awesome depictions of Kage -- and now I don't have to feel quite so bad for missing his stories due to not being able to find a space in the parking lot!

I'm really glad you started doing your pictorial conreps again.

Heheh. When they lasered my eyes, they put in local painkillers in each eye. And it's a chemical I'm almost immune to, so it didn't work. Thus when they started cutting the lense with the scalpel...

I broke the armrest in the machine.

Kage looks cute in your style. I like what happens with his antennae when he's nervous and then drugged.

Nope, sorry. I think I want to continue wearing glasses!

Excellent narrative, as always. I mean, I know you're quoting Kage, but still...

Thank you!

(Trade secret: I bought a DVD copy of "A Clockwork Orange" just to do research for this cartoon. Well, by "bought" I mean "already had but finally got around to watching".)
