Yesterday I saw "The Curious Case of Benjamin Butt", about a man who grows backwards. That is, when he overeats, he becomes thin, and when he fasts, he becomes fat. The most poignant scene is when he's stuck on the couch weighing 600 pounds, unable to reach the box of doughnuts that might save him. The funniest scenes, however, are those with the guy who keeps saying, "Did I ever tell you I've been struck by lightning seven times?"

Starring Brad Pitt, a fat suit and a lot of special effects. Directed by David "Lunchtime" Fincher.

Dude. I've been collecting titles that become comical when you shave off the last few letters. My inspiration was an actual marquee heading, "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doo." I won't include yours because I didn't come up with it independently, but thanks for the reminder. I think my own best so far is "Rear Wind."

Then there's one that was actually made: the short film "Mission: Imp", starring Verne Troyer. I'm pretty sure it was inspired by those electronic marquees at the movie theaters that cut the titles short.

Wouldn't Benjamin Butt violate the law of conservation of matter?

But I'd feel sad for all the physicists who have to work the Butt factor into all of their physics equations and quantum mechanics formulas.

Oh, you don't know modern physicists. They'd have endless fun with something like that!
