Tonight I'm going downtown to see Laurie Anderson perform her new show, Homeland. Sooo... I'll be incommavocado for a few hours starting at 7 or thereabouts.

WOW Laurie Anderson, THERE'S a blast from the past! Didn't she host "Alive from off center" on PBS? That looks like a show YOU would have watched!

Yup, I did watch that show, and I remember Laurie hosting it. I remember Laurie and her clone in "What You Mean We?" and the Smoke Rings video with the crazy chef dancing and singing while piling junk on a plate. :}

I watched the whole run of Alive From Off Center, and I remember other good bits, like "Drum Dance" by Pookiesnackenburger, the forerunner of Stomp.

Waaaahhhh!!!! *envy*envy*envy* I haven't seen her live since the "Natural History" tour back in... well, further back than I want to think about.
