There! Just upgraded to Firefox. So far, so good. Nothing broken yet (except FurAffinity so I couldn't check if I was still logged in... although I see I'm still logged into LJ). Yup, nothing broken so far! Flash works, NoScript seems to work, that lobey little DownloadHelper icon is still up there...

Meh. FurAffinity is down most of the time, anyways.

I've also downloaded FireFox 3, recently. Looks pretty good, so far. Everything seems to work fine.

If by "most of the time" you mean "just often enough to be irritating", then yeah maybe.

They've invested in some serious hardware since their last extended downtime. Assuming they have reasonably decent system administrators, they should have pretty good reliability in the future.

For all the sturm und drang surrounding FA's extended downtime, it's nothing like the confluence of incompetence and drama that killed yerf.com.

It went down last night, which is why I made that comment. But ah, I see it's back up now!

Possibly teething problems with the new stuff. It happens.

It's a good idea to clear out all your cookies when upgrading to a new browser. Not only does this reduce the possibility of incompatibility bugs showing up, but it clears out all the "evil" cookies that advertisers use to track you.

I clear my cookies every couple of months or so just for that reason.

I'm kind of a stick in the mud, not used to change - right now I'm growsing because of the way FF3 looks over FF2 (in particular the back/forward buttons, why is back significantly bigger? And it fiddled a bit with the bookmarks folder, didn't put it the way I like it, and had to move it around a bit.

But I'm sure I"ll get used to this look, right before they change it.
