02:32 am - The Ineffable Name?

Previous Entry Share Next Entry

I have important news! As you may be aware, many scholars believe the true name of God, the Tetragrammaton, to be יהוה, pronounced "Yahweh". I have since discovered that this is a mistake! It is in fact a misspelling in the Hebrew alphabet of a mispronunciation of the Name of God, caused by a misunderstanding when the text was first being written down in the Dead Sea Scrolls. The true Name, the real Tetragrammaton, is in fact:

ייפה

which is to be pronounced:

YIFFAH.
