How come there's Old Church Slavonic but there aren't any other old building slavonics?

I think there ought to be like Old Bank Slavonic, Old Restaurant Slavonic, Old Barbershop Slavonic, or Old Drugstore Slavonic...

At the very least, there should be Old Sawmill Slavonic.

Or, if you need cusswords, Old Bathroom Slavonic! YES THERE CAN BE INDIVIDUAL ROOM SLAVONICS. Hungry? Old Kitchen Slavonic! Yiffy? Old Bedroom Slavonic! In the mood for a game of foosball? Old Den Slavonic! Want to talk about cars? Old Garage Slavonic!

Hmm. I see nothing but question marks. Yet the email notification shows there's clearly some Unicode business going on. I shall have to do some detective work to puzzle this out.

Unless there's any hints you'd like to toss my way first?

Well, y'see, it's very simple, KT. The Church was a big bully and didn't want to share its old Slavonic with anyone. So, it knocked down all of the other Slavonics and chased them away.

Old Church Slavonic is more brutal than Highlander. There can be only one!

Well, how many buildings really pride themselves on being old? The Church has that "ever ancient, ever new" thing going, but places like banks don't want potential customers to think they don't even use computers yet.

For that matter, why do missionaries get to hog all the fun and have a sex position named after them?

Personally, I think that there should be other professions with sex positions, like "doing it accountant style" (which makes missionary seem exotic), "trucker style" (doing it all night long!) "convict style" (for gay men) and "gangster position" (anyone who watched The Godfather knows what I'm talking about here (Sonny Corlone, bridesmaid, need I say more?))

Those church folk have all the fun dammit!
